News release for debut novel

LOCAL AUTHOR OFFERS A TOASTY FANTASY FOR COLD WINTER NIGHTS

While her fellow Wisconsinites shivered and shoveled their way through last winter, K. J. Klemme spent the frigid nights scheming a kidnapping in Cancun…on paper. Her efforts paid off in the September release of “Tourist Trapped,” a suspense novel now available on Amazon.

Protagonist Amanda Sloane suspends her life as a hotshot divorce attorney in Chicago to hunt down her missing sister in the Yucatan—a half-sister she has resented for three decades. In the quest for her missing sibling, Amanda quickly realizes the disappearance isn’t accidental and time is running out.

“Tourist Trapped” is the first novel of Wisconsin native K. J. Klemme. The author chose Cancun as the backdrop of the story based on numerous excursions to the area.

J. Klemme, first place winner in non-fiction for the 2014 Writers’ Institute Poem or Page Contest, spends her days supporting computer systems, and her evenings and weekends concocting murders and maimings.

As the thermometer drops, Midwesterners may want to pick up a copy of “Tourist Trapped” to transport them to a warmer place—between stints with the snow blower.
